Chocolate Chip Cookies




Ingredients:

  • ½ cup butter (softened)

  • ½ cup light brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 ½ cup chocolate chips


Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

  2. Add in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and fold together just until combined.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and/or chunks.

  6. Using a cookie scoop, scoop out cookie dough balls and place them on a baking sheet

  7. Refrigerate cookie dough balls for 30 minutes. (This is optional but will make your cookies have a better texture.)

  8. Once done chilling, place cookie dough balls onto a baking sheet and top with additional chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 11 minutes. For jumbo cookies: bake at 375 for 12 minutes.

  9. Once out of the oven, allow the cookies to set for 10 minutes.

  10. Serve and enjoy!
