Mini Heart Chocoflanes


Ingredients:

Flan Mixture:

  • 5 eggs

  • 1 can evaporated milk

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

  • 4 oz. cream cheese (optional, but will make your flan more creamy)

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • dulce de leche


Cake Mix:


Instructions:

Flan Mixture:

  1. Blend evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a blender for 30 seconds.

  2. Prepare a cupcake mold with some cooking spray.

  3. Spread some dulce de leche on the bottom of each cupcake mold.

  4. Pour about ¼ cup of flan mixture over the dulce de leche and cover the cupcake mold with aluminum foil.

  5. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes in a hot water bath (baño Maria).

  6. Once out of the oven, the flan is only partially cooked.


Cake mix:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, milk, oil, and eggs. Pour a spoon of cake batter over each piece of flan. Cover the cupcake mold with aluminum foil again.

  2. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes in the hot water bath again.

  3. Once done baking, allow the mini chocoflanes to cool on the counter for 1 hour.

  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour (optional).

  5. Unmold the chocoflanes.

  6. Serve and enjoy!
